Emily DeGrasse, Manager, permitting
Emily works on the permitting team to ensure proper diligence is performed through environmental, cultural, and topographic screening. She advocates and collaborates with agencies, local stakeholders, and organizations at all levels to identify the best development practices and approaches. Her primary responsibility is to obtain permits, approvals, and clearances to construct solar arrays. She is focused on sophisticated new development practices that integrate livestock and wildlife, utilize rainwater capture, and work to achieve minimal disturbance to the landscape during and after construction.
Before Candela Renewables, Emily worked for Mission Energy, a company focused on providing green energy to non-profits and Catholic Dioceses. She has extensive experience in energy development and commercial construction, managing the regulatory, permitting, and survey processes from site identification and screening to remediation. Some notable projects include the Yellowstone Club, MT, Space Force, CO, Immaculate Monastery, NY-the largest carport at the time of development in New York City, development with the Ute Nation, and the Pikes Peak Summit House and Weather Station built at over 14,000 ft.
Emily holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver, focusing on Energy and Sustainability. She lives in Denver, Colorado, and can be found on a mountain near you.
